Active listening, empathy, sympathy, and patience are all important skills that allow one person to be a trusted familiar face that can instantly improve someone’s day through simply showing interest in their life. Along with using these skills, I have always been interested in why someone feels the way they do, and I am even more invested in their future and how to help them. With the interest in helping someone restore hope in their future, my desire is that through interventional psychiatry methods such as TMS, people are able to reach or regain their full potential.
Along with working with younger children, I enjoy working with families and people of all different backgrounds and learning more about them. I am passionate about helping teenagers and young adults with mood disorders and anxiety disorders; I hope to help them improve their life in one way or another as I was a teen struggling with anxiety not too long ago. Working as a behavior therapist in the past has also instilled a passion in me to advocate for children and therapy to improve their daily living and interpersonal skills, so they can live independently and express their identity.

Experiencing my own anxieties and slowly finding ways to cope with them generated a passion in me to help others through their mental health struggles. Through helping others with TMS, I wish to restore any lost hope and provide support to a life where the patient does not need to constantly worry about social-emotional barriers that may plague their life. Working as a behavior technician, I have also developed a deep passion of advocating for the needs of those with mental health struggles and I hope to be a pillar of support, meeting clients where they are and improving their lives in every way that I can.
In my downtime, I love going to the gym and working out. This self-care time provides one way that I can continuously and physically improve myself as well as a way to manage any stress throughout my week. Beyond being in the gym, I love playing sports (specifically basketball and pickle ball), playing board games, getting boba or coffee and talking with friends in the shop, and being with my close friends. As an extroverted person, I love meeting new people and finding common interests that can connect me with them as well as spending quality time with the people that I love.
While the workweek may be busy, I always also try to find time to stream a TV show and I have been very into comedy-drama shows like Only Murders In the Building. However, I love exploring new genres of shows and my favorite styles of show are psychological thrillers and historical dramas. In fact, while some are indeed scary and keep me on the edge of my seat, psychological thrillers (especially those retelling a real-life story) generated my love for psychology and the brain.
Whether it is during work or outside of work, I get the most joy from making someone smile. As a humorous person, I love making jokes or hearing jokes. However, with recent work experience with children, I have found that making someone smile is much more rewarding when I can selflessly take part in what they love and show them or discuss something new that fascinates them, and I hope to share a few smiles or many with all clients and coworkers at The Healthy Brain Center.
